HERE IS THE STORY OF OUR COVER PHOTO OF PIT DESK CALENDAR 2023
Rosa was rescued in March 2020. She was found abandoned in Sinop, Turkey surrounded by big dogs in an open field in the middle of no where and she was pregnant! We placed her in a boarding home where she gave birth to 6 puppies, nursed them all and 2 months later they were all transferred to Izmir. Rosa found a home in Amsterdam and flew to her new life shortly. Couple of months later one of her puppies Köfte joined her as well. She was living a happy life with her owner Jovana until Spring 2022. Around that time the veterinarian asked for a CAT scan because he discovered that her heart was irregular. And the finding was so disturbing – they discovered a pen inside her rib cage, stabbed trough the heart! We think she was stabbed with it when she was a puppy.
Unfortunately the scan made the pen moved and the ink seeped inside her body sending her into a septic shock☹ She was paralyzed and blind. We were told that she wasn’t going to make it but they had not realized the fight Rosa had in her. She managed to wake up from her coma and slowly gain energy. She first started to move and then to run, her sight started to come back as well. She still has the pen inside…
